Filming day

My group finally began the filming process for our short film. For the location, my group all came to my apartment since we would have a lot of space there. Melvon arrived first and then we waited for the rest of my groupmates to arrive. Since it was everyone's first time on location they had a bit of confusion with the directions but everyone eventually arrived. We had to push the time of filming back as there were also transportation troubles. When everyone arrived i showed everyone around the location and we decided on the best place to begin filming. Jeni was the one to bring the props so we can use them for our filming. She brought two dolls that we could pick from and decide which would be the best fit. For deciding the dolls we wanted the doll that was the creepiest and would fit thematically. My group eventually found an office space which was the lounge area. We could use and it was empty with space that could be used to film. Once we all arrived at the office area we began discussing what our ideas were and what we should begin on first. Melvin began proposing several ideas on where to begin and he was directing the group. The first thing he wanted to get out of the way was the scene where we filmed our text messages. For this scene, my group had to change the group chat name that we were all in to fit the story. he told the group the changes to make to the chat to make it make sense and that also included changing the contact names to match the characters in the story. After all of those changes were finished we had to get the script and know what we would text in the group chat. What we decided since it was all on text messages we'd copy our script part and just paste it in when it was our time to send a message. Copy and pasting our lines made it so nobody had to memorize their parts and we would simply signal them when to type it in. For the actual scenes themself we had Jeni screen record her phone and we wanted to just show the messages alone. Overall the filming for this scene was really easy.
