Group blog


Doing this project as a team is a better choice, compared to working solo. Since together we can really look through everything and make sure it is the best it can possible be. The people i choose to work with are Nyla and Melvin. I chose them because they are responsible and hardworking people. I was worried on the first day of school because i believed i wasn't going to know anyone in the class. Making friends is kind of hard for me since i'm an introvert and somewhat anti-social but then i saw Melvin and Nyla and i was happy i was going to get to work with them. I knew Nyla from middle school. We where in junior thespians together that's how i know she works very hard in projects or assignments. Melvin and i were in the same class for 7th and 8th grade, he's very smart and very creative and he comes up with ideas very fast. I think me being a in group with both of them is going to be a fun learning experience. the idea that we chose was Apple. we are gonna use our apple products for the ad. The thing that i'm looking forward the most is filming. Melvin and Nyla are very funny and extroverted people, they are really fun to be around. I really like this class and having friends in the class makes it so much better. I am 100% sure we are going to get a good grade. We three have a group chat that we talk about the project a lot. In middle school melvin and i had to do a project and it was a very fun experience, we ended up getting a good grade on it. Im very glad that they are in my media studies class with me. Also very fortunate to be able to work on this project with them. I am sure that together we will create a brilliant product at the end of this project.

Finished Filming

After my group finished the filming scene of the group chat conversation we moved on to the next film. The scene after the text messages was where we all were supposed to meet up at the main character's house. While reviewing the script my groupmates decided to skip the introduction as they thought it could be unnecessary. The reasoning why the decision was that if the friends know each other why would they need an introduction. Because of this change and because of the fact that we were already running out of time we were discussing canceling the rest of the filming. We would still film on another day just pushed back. My group decided that we should try it today and just adapt to the script and that is what we ended up doing. Props: Since as a group we decided to work on an apple commercial, our main prop will be apple products. Other props we will include will be bags and school supplies. Costumes: In our commercial we will have 2 different costumes for each actor. The first costume will be a casual outfit, something that people would wear to school. The second costume will consist of athletic clothing. Something along the lines of a tank top or a cotton t-shirt and athletic shorts or athletic tights.
