Remaining shots filming blog

On our second day of filming Nyla wasn't here. Melvin and i went to the field to film the watch scene along with the AirPod scene. Thankfully for us there wasn't anyone in the field. First we started with the apple watch shot. Melvin was doing jumping jacks then stopped to check the watch to measure his heart rate. Before the watch scene we filmed the AirPod scene. Melvin was filming me walk while putting on the AirPods but later on we re-filmed it to me filming him walk while putting on the AirPods. Prior to that we were deciding whether to do a running scene or a workout scene. For the watch shot but we ended up doing a workout. We had to do a workout scene since we couldn't get the camera to not be shaky during the filming. For the watch scene it was a bit complicated since it was bright outside and the it wouldn't focus and you could also see my shadow on ground. It was a tricky shot to film due to the brightness of the sun but we got through it. Tomorrow we are going to start editing the Ad. The weather was very hot and it was uncomfortable for me since i was wearing all black heavy clothes and i ended up sweating a lot while we were filming our remaining shots. I had a lot of fun filming our remaining shots with Melvin even though it was very very hot. There was one shot we couldn't complete due to Nyla not being here with us so we had change our ad a bit but it shouldn't have a big impact on the project. Im glad our shots came out looking great along with the quality of them since some shots required a lot of movement, but they ended up being good. Now all we have to do is edit the video and add music. I had so much fun working with Nyla and Melvin.

Finished Filming

After my group finished the filming scene of the group chat conversation we moved on to the next film. The scene after the text messages was where we all were supposed to meet up at the main character's house. While reviewing the script my groupmates decided to skip the introduction as they thought it could be unnecessary. The reasoning why the decision was that if the friends know each other why would they need an introduction. Because of this change and because of the fact that we were already running out of time we were discussing canceling the rest of the filming. We would still film on another day just pushed back. My group decided that we should try it today and just adapt to the script and that is what we ended up doing. Props: Since as a group we decided to work on an apple commercial, our main prop will be apple products. Other props we will include will be bags and school supplies. Costumes: In our commercial we will have 2 different costumes for each actor. The first costume will be a casual outfit, something that people would wear to school. The second costume will consist of athletic clothing. Something along the lines of a tank top or a cotton t-shirt and athletic shorts or athletic tights.
