Up All Night - Blog

Once all the scenes were aligned in the order they needed to be, I had to make sure the timing was right. This included both editing the time and speeding up the time. Some scenes were not included in the film because it dragged out the time or because they were too shaky. To begin with, the first editing was done on my personal laptop. What had to be done was run the entire film. Once I did that, I saw that the duration went under 1 minute. So, I had to go back and check and see which scenes i needed to extend. I first cut down the first opening scene by a couple seconds. Then I speed up the scene where one of the actors is walking then slow it down when they grab the item and put it inside the basket. This gave me more time which was good for the film so that way i can add more parts/transitions. Then there were some scenes that were cut, in a way that looked like a split screen. For the split screen I have to use another editing site since the one i'm using (iMovie) does not give me the option to make a split scene.
The phone scene was cut very short. I didn't have enough time to finish editing today so i'm going to continue editing the music video tomorrow.
